This page now serves as a heritage reference, preserving the scope of activity, brand portfolio, and role played by RITTER London Limited within the wider group of companies.
The Company
From 2016 to 2019, RITTER London Limited operated as the European-facing business within Martin I. Ritter’s group of companies.
The company was registered in London and functioned as a strategic coordination and distribution platform for Europe. Unlike its U.S. counterpart, RITTER London Limited did not operate a warehouse. Its role focused on representation, distribution management, partner coordination, market development, and brand positioning across European territories.
RITTER London Limited formed the European counterpart to the international structure developed by Martin I. Ritter, supporting continuity between global brand strategy and regional market needs.
This site remains as an archive of that activity.

The Founder

RITTER London Limited formed part of the group of companies founded and directed by Martin I. Ritter.
His career spans several decades within the international musical instrument industry and is rooted in a lifelong engagement with music and artistic authorship. From an early age, his orientation combined classical piano training, composition, and musical study with a sustained interest in design, structure, and concept-driven creation.
In 1996, he founded and created an eponymous instrument bag brand that permanently changed how instrument bags and cases are designed, perceived, and valued worldwide. The brands coordinated through RITTER London Limited represent later chapters within this broader authored body of work, each exploring different relationships between protection, design, identity, and culture.
RITTER London Limited concluded operations in 2019. This heritage site exists as a preserved reference and does not define the conclusion of the work.
